I am a space-nut and I have been  following this rumor/idea for a while now. It’s a novel idea. It’s like slingin’ a rock on the end of a rope round and round.

The energy to power this lift has been speculated to be a high powered laser.

If operable this would be the most efficient way to get supplies in to space [22,000 mile-long], refuel space craft and space stations.
